Accessible by design

Access should open the door.

IOWL works to make its public information, My World environment and learning routes usable by the widest practical range of people.

Our accessibility approach

Accessibility is part of IOWL's wider mission: Calibre development should not depend on wealth, seniority, geography or traditional access to elite development.

Clear digital journeys

We work to keep navigation, forms, content structures and core journeys understandable across the public website and My World.

Responsive access

Public pages and learner services are designed for use across common desktop, tablet and mobile environments.

Reasonable adjustment

Where an individual needs an adjustment to participate in learning or assessment, IOWL provides a route to request and consider appropriate support.

Tell us where access can be improved

If a page, document, learning resource or My World function creates an accessibility barrier, contact IOWL and identify the page or service concerned. We will use that information to support access and inform improvement.

Continuing improvement

IOWL treats accessibility as an ongoing design and service responsibility. New and revised public-facing services should consider readability, contrast, navigation, device compatibility, meaningful structure and practical routes to support.
