IOWL maintains distinct advisory, academic and strategic convening mechanisms so that international expertise can challenge, contextualise and extend the Calibre conversation without transferring stewardship or authority away from IOWL.

IOWL distinguishes standing advisory membership from participation in stakeholder forums and assemblies. This enables broad international contribution without transferring stewardship, governance, standards, awarding or definitional authority over Calibre.
IOWL remains the institutional steward of its Calibre proposition and associated frameworks. The Council and convenings exist to bring scrutiny, evidence, experience and context into dialogue. They do not create shared ownership of Calibre and do not confer authority to redefine, license, accredit, award or represent IOWL's intellectual property.
IAC membership is appointed. Forum participation is convened. Contributions are invited. Recognition is earned. Governance remains with IOWL.
Each mechanism has a distinct role and Terms of Reference. Participation in one does not automatically confer standing in another.
International, interdisciplinary scrutiny and constructive challenge around IOWL's work on Calibre and the factors influencing Integrous Agency.
Council role and membership >A forum for universities, educators, researchers and tertiary-education stakeholders to consider Calibre alongside Capability and Competency without assuming custodianship of the Calibre domain.
AAC role and Terms >A joint dialogue between advisory and academic perspectives. It is a convening mechanism, not a joint governing body or shared standards authority.
IAAC role and Terms >A high-level forum for institutional, governmental, professional, employer, standards, civil-society and international perspectives on the recognition and application of Calibre.
IASAC role and Terms >Participation does not transfer any governance, curriculum, assessment, awarding, licensing or intellectual-property rights.
Institutional affiliation or attendance does not of itself imply partnership, endorsement, sponsorship or accreditation.
Potential IAC contributors can come to IOWL's attention through direct invitation, existing-member referral, external nomination or self-expression of interest. Appointment remains an IOWL decision based on the perspective required by the Council.
The architecture widens the conversation while preserving IOWL's independence and stewardship.
